I still don't really feel like this is finished, but I'm not sure what else to add...
Anyway, I'm experimenting with a more painterly style- I did almost everything on one layer which is a new thing for me! I also recently started watching the BBC's adaptation of Bernard Cornwell's 'The Last Kingdom' series, so what better excuse to try to paint David Dawson's excellent portrayal of King Ælfred?
Any comments or feedback are, as always, greatly appreciated
